Privacy Policy for Words and Heroes

Words and Heroes (“the Game,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected or used when you play Words and Heroes.

1. Information We Collect

We do not require you to create an account with us, and we do not directly collect your name, email address, phone number, or contact information.

The Game may store gameplay progress, including hero level, experience points, achievements, monster progress, settings, and similar game state information. This information is used to save your progress and improve your gameplay experience.

2. Local Game Data

Words and Heroes stores some progress and settings on your device. This may include audio settings, hero progress, achievements, unlocked monsters, and other gameplay state.

If you reset your hero progress inside the Game, gameplay progress may be reset, but some achievement records may remain if the Game is designed to preserve them.

3. Game Center

Words and Heroes may use Apple Game Center for achievements, player progress, and related gameplay features. Game Center is provided by Apple. Your use of Game Center is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and your Apple account settings.

We do not receive your Apple ID password or payment information.

4. Advertising

Words and Heroes may display advertisements in the game, including banner ads during fight scenes and interstitial ads after certain completed fights. We do not currently use rewarded advertisements.

We may use third-party advertising partners, including AppLovin MAX, to provide and measure advertisements. These advertising partners may collect or receive certain information from your device, such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers when permitted, IP address, app activity related to ad delivery, approximate location derived from network information, and technical information about your device and the ads shown to you.

On iOS, if advertising activity requires tracking as defined by Apple, the game will request your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before that tracking occurs. If you choose not to allow tracking, you may still see ads, but they may be less personalized.

Advertising partners may use the information they collect to deliver ads, limit how often you see an ad, detect fraud, measure ad performance, and improve advertising services. Their collection and use of information is governed by their own privacy policies.

5. Purchases

Words and Heroes currently does not require in-app purchases to play.

6. Dictionary and Word Validation

Words and Heroes may use native iOS word or dictionary features to validate words during gameplay. Words formed during gameplay may be used locally for scoring, achievements, and gameplay logic. We do not use those words to identify you.

7. Analytics and Diagnostics

The Game may rely on Apple-provided crash logs, diagnostics, and App Store analytics. These tools help us understand crashes, performance issues, and general app usage. Apple may provide this information to developers in an aggregated or limited form.

8. Children’s Privacy

Words and Heroes is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information that we directly collect. Third-party services used by the Game, such as Apple Game Center and AppLovin MAX if enabled, may process information according to their own privacy policies.

10. Your Choices

You can manage Game Center through your Apple device settings.

You can limit ad tracking and manage privacy choices through iOS settings, including App Tracking Transparency and advertising privacy settings.

You can reset certain game progress using the Game’s reset options.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable measures to protect gameplay data handled by the Game. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date above.
